The V O I D Series represents the journey into the unknown; a voyage of discovery, both personally and communally. The EVA-BLOCK-2 bag design is the follow up to the EVA-01 Premier Edition bag. This is RDSW's answer to the "every day carry" style of bag meant to do it all. The bag is heavily based upon the first bag made by Richie Rauscher, the RDSW-01. The VOID EVA-BLOCK-2 shares much in common with its predecessors, but this time takes inspiration from the mysterious depths of the universe, and the mysteries within us all..
The bag's outer construction is made up of Nylon and 5.0 oz Dyneema, a composite fabric that is 15 times stronger than steel by weight. This bag will survive just about any adventure, terrestrial or otherwise.
The hardware is made up of black painted metal HK-Hooks and triangular D-rings on the handles and shoulder strap, to YKK zippers on the outer pocket.
The outside of the bag bears the RDSW initials laser etched rubberized patches, and heavily sewn into the body of the bag. The opposite side features the V O I D Logo, depicting the journey into the unknown. Flanking either side of that name-tag are two nylon ribs that wrap around the body of the bag, aiding in weight distribution to ensure that heavy contents won't result in specific weak points, but will be evenly supported all around the body.
There is a skeletal doctors bag hinge ringing the opening, painted to match the bag, adding structure and rigidity to the opening, making it easier to access the items within.
The interior of the VOID EVA-BLOCK-2 is a departure from the EVA-01. Here you'll find the interior lined with water repellant 420D Nylon, ensuring ease of cleaning, and basic protection of liquids. There is a light layer of padding added to the base for a minimal amount of protection. As a disclaimer, this bag's design is intended to be durable and lightweight, not protective or shock proof.
One side of the interior houses a Dyneema zipper pocket, while the opposite side bears a Dyneema laptop sleeve, with hook and loop securing strap. Below the strap is a unique tag designating the model, manufacturing date, and serial number of that specific bag, again laser etched in plastic card.
The VOID EVA-Block-2 will ship in a custom RDSW box, wrapped in brown shipping paper for discretion.
